MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – When the pandemic struck, Katrinnah Darden, like numerous learners, was forced to review at-household. It was a familiar feeling, as she was homeschooled most of her daily life.

Although quite a few young people her age knowledgeable some sort of hybrid mastering, she was not researching for high university or an undergraduate diploma. The 19-12 months-aged was studying law.

“God’s been the only cause I’m listed here, and I have to emphasize that all the time,” Darden reported.

This weekend the Montgomery teen strike a major milestone. She graduated from the Thomas Goode Jones University of Law at Faulkner College.

“It does not feel weird,” she claimed. “My relatives has normally accomplished this. My older brother just did this two decades in the past.”

She comes from a loved ones of 10 little ones who all begun college or university around the age of 12. In 2020, her older brother, Seth Harding, was on keep track of to turn into Alabama’s youngest lawyer.

“I’m 19 and two months. I imagine Seth was 19 and a 50 %, possibly a little more mature than that, so I beat his file,” Darden stated with a grin. “We’re competitive, simply because I think that is all-natural for large brother and sister, but we assistance every single other a ton and I wouldn’t be graduating now if it weren’t for his assistance.”

Darden believes “imposter feelings” are typical for individuals all-around her age who are chasing their goals. She encourages people to persist.

“Recognize if you have a contacting,” Darden mentioned. “If you sense pushed toward a unique dream, regardless of what people today tell you, even no matter of what you explain to you, to go after it and get the job done your toughest.”

With graduation at the rear of her, she now starts exploring for a career. She is gearing up for the bar test and strategies to get it this summer time.
